A child's location is the most sensitive data we hold

South Africa's POPIA treats children's personal information as a special category, and we have built to that from the start rather than bolting it on. These are constraints in the database, not promises in a policy document.

Live position, only during an active run Tracking exists for the duration of the trip and stops when the child is handed over.
Visible only to that child's parents A parent account can read the runs their own child is on, and nothing else in the fleet.
No live child pins in the control room Operations sees route health and exceptions. A child's coordinates are never stored, so they cannot be shown.
An audit trail that cannot be edited Every checkpoint, alert and message is appended with its source, and nothing can rewrite it afterwards.
